Henrik Florin, VP of Operations and head of recruitment

Describe Koppom Maskin as a workplace for someone who doesn’t know us.

It’s a fun workplace that’s constantly on the move. We have a lot of optimism for the future and are investing in it. Of course, the job comes first, but we also want it to be relaxed and collegial.

How long have you worked here, and what has that time been like?

I’ve worked here for 13 years. I was recommended by a relative who already worked here. The idea was that I would help with administrative tasks, but also with some incoming and outgoing deliveries of tires and other in-house brands. At that time, we were about 10 people, and since I’ve always had a hard time not getting involved in things, I gradually grew into other roles within the company.

Did you know anything about forestry machines before you started working here?

No, I had worked as an excavator operator, industrial painter, and taxi driver before, and knew very little. I probably knew the difference between a harvester and a forwarder, but not much more than that.

Who do you think should apply for a job at Koppom Maskin?

It’s a big advantage if you have an interest in machines, no matter what position you're applying for. We also think it’s important to hire locally. It doesn’t have to be from Eda Municipality, but within a reasonable distance.

You are also responsible for recruitment, what goes through your mind when you’re recruiting – who are you looking for, and what should someone keep in mind when applying for a job here?

We’re interested in your previous experiences, but we think personal suitability is especially important. We care about you fitting in with the team we already have, but we also want to bring in a mix of people with different backgrounds and ages.

Focus on your cover letter – we want to know who you are!
