Pär Johansson, used parts inventory
Describe Koppom Maskin as a workplace for someone who doesn’t know us.
We sell forestry machine parts and forestry machines, and we try to be a cheerful team with an open atmosphere – a workplace where we help each other out and step in wherever needed. We try to make the most of the knowledge among us who work here. It’s a workplace where no day is the same, and you can never really know what’s going to happen.
How long have you worked here, and what has that time been like?
I’ve worked here for 7 years now. When I started, I did a year as a spare parts salesperson, but it didn’t suit me. Then I got the opportunity to try working in the workshop and warehouse instead, and now I’m in the warehouse full-time.
Did you know anything about forestry machines before you started working here?
Before I started here, I worked as a car mechanic and a shop assistant at a workshop. I hadn’t been in contact with forestry machines before, all I knew was that they cut down trees and hauled them out. That was the closest I had come to forestry machines before.
Who do you think should apply for a job in our warehouse?
People who enjoy taking their own initiative and have a knack for getting things done. All roles in the warehouse rely on self-motivation.
Someone who is curious about learning a lot of new things – not many have worked in the forestry machine industry before they started here.
Experience with vehicles will make the day easier, but if you don’t have that, it’s always possible to learn.
And you need to be a flexible person, as the tasks for the day can change quickly. The sales team is always the priority, and part of the job is to prioritize what’s most urgent.
